If you are looking to buy a great summer baby sleeping bag or wearable blanket, the ergoPouch sleeping bag (0.3 TOG Organic Cotton) is one of the most popular wearable blankets on the market today. But does it live up to the hype? Our two year old daughter, Chloe took it for a test drive and here is the verdict!
We love baby sleeping bags or wearable blankets as they are sometimes known. Chloe has used one from age 5 months and we firmly believe the great sleeping bags she has used have helped her great sleeping habits (she sleeps through most nights). With the arrival of summer, we thought it was a great time for a new sleeping bag and as we have recently started stocking ergoPouch we thought it was a perfect time to give this 0.3 TOG Organic Cotton sleeping bag a test run. So here is our ergoPouch sleeping bag review.
Chloe has really taken to this summer baby sleeping bag and has been using it for nearly two weeks now. She is quite a little wriggler but this sleeping bag seems to allow plenty of room for movement. Ergopouch claims that their unique Anti-Tangle Safety Stretch Inserts at the sides helps babies move comfortably and freely and I certainly agree that the ergoPouch sleeping bag meets or exceeds other similar products in this category.
The fabric is very lightweight as you would expect from a 0.3 TOG baby sleeping bag. What I am very impressed by is the feel of the fabric which is very soft to touch. Chloe does not have overly sensitive skin but from the soft touch of the fabric I believe the ergoPouch sleeping bag would meet ergoPouch's promise that the soft 100% organic cotton is perfect for babies with sensitive skin or who suffer from allergies.
The ergoPouch sleeping bag is practicable and comes with all the features you expect from a great baby sleeping bag these days including a two way zipper and a zipper cover to further protect babies skin.
ErgoPouch sleeping bag - 0.3 TOG is available in two styles (Pink Flower and Blue Stripe). While we do love these style, we would love to see more variety, particularly as some of the other ergoPouch products have some fantastic alternative styles.
In terms of price, the ergoPouch sleeping bag is certainly not the cheapest wearable blanket on the market. Retailing at $54.95, it fall into what we would call the upper mid-range in terms of price, however in our opinion the quality, practicality and softness of the ergoPouch sleeping bag makes it a worthwhile investment.
With the number of choices out there in today’s market, we hesitate to call any product the best. We can say however that if you are looking to buy a great summer baby sleeping bag or wearable blanket, the ergoPouch sleeping bag makes a great choice.
